Nadia Dress with Lisa Wagner

August 14th and 15th, 2017

10:00am to 1:00PM

the Nadia Dress dressmaking course

This dressmaking course is perfect for those who have had some experience with sewing machines.

The course will follow the cutting and construction of The Nadia Pattern which can be made into either a dress or a top.

Students will learn great tips for adjusting commercial patterns to fit, as well as construction techniques and hand-finishing for a professional look.

Ultimately, this course is designed to encourage a love-affair with sewing, and to help you discover the rewards of creating your own wearable clothes using simple patterns and techniques!

We are really excited about partnering with Lisa Wagner Designs to offer a 2 day workshop to make one of her custom dress designs - the Nadia Dress.  Over the 6 hours, Lisa will assist participants in selecting their fabric, customizing the pattern fit to their individual shape, and then cutting, sewing and finishing the garment.

Lisa has been designing classically elegant clothing that is simple in design, elegant in fit and luxurious in quality for over 20 years.  In addition to her clothing line, Lisa has been instructing workshops for women who want to make their own beautiful clothing.   Lisa’s experience and her clothing designs are a perfect match with our mission to help you sew beautiful things.

Students will be provided their own Nadia Dress pattern and a 15% discount on any fabric and trim purchased from loving the fabric for this project.  Sewing machines and other equipment will be provided, however it might be helpful to bring a small sewing kit with pins and scissors.

The cost for the two day course is £160.  For more information or to reserve your spot, please call Gay ( (0)20 8332 6031 ) or stop in the shop.
